Streeterville is well known for its large number of high rises and luxury condo buildings. Streeterville is surrounded by Lake Shore Drive, the Chicago River, Michigan Avenue and Lake Michigan. What's even better is the incredible attractions within walking distance that residents can choose to visit. Take a look at some of them below!

Navy Pier

One of Chicago’s most popular spots for tourism, Navy Pier attracts approximately 9 million visitors annually making it the top leisure spot in the Midwestern America. The pier encompasses more than fifty acres of parks, gardens, shops, restaurants, family attractions and exhibition facilities. Some attractions on the actual Pier consist of the huge Ferris wheel, the Shakespeare Theater, Chicago’s children museum, shoreline cruises, dinner cruises, Chicago’s amazing funhouse maze, and much more. On certain nights during the summer and fall, one can also enjoy fireworks on the pier! Indoor ice skating is also available from December-January during Navy Pier’s Winter Wonderfest.

Bobby’s Bike Hike Chicago – Bike, Walking, Food Tours & Rentals

Offering bike, walking, and food tours, Bobby’s Bike Hike Chicago is ranked as the #1 tour guide company on Trip Advisor. Bike rentals are also available for those without one. Visitors have the opportunity to take in Chicago’s history, food, innovation and culture while moving along sidewalks, parks, and bike paths for the entire tour.

Chicago Harbor Lighthouse

The Chicago Harbor Lighthouse stands at the south end of the northern breakwater protecting the Chicago Harbor. In 2003, it was designated as a Chicago landmark and was also listed on The National Register of Historic Places in 1984. Access to the lighthouse is not permitted, however, one can get a good view of it by standing at the end of the dock at Navy Pier or by going on one of Navy Pier’s popular boat tours.

Museum of Contemporary Art

The Museum of Contemporary Art resides near the Water Tower Place mall and is easily accessible to the public. The museum, which was established in 1967, happens to be one of the world's largest contemporary art venues.

Lake Shore Park

Lake Shore Park consists of approximately 5.79 acres that offers tennis, softball field, an amazing fitness center, gym, and track fieldhouse. Let's not forget about a clean playground for the kiddos! The Park also offers meeting rooms that can be rented for events. On top of that, Lake Shore Park hosts many events for the entire family such as concerts and other night out events in the park.

NBC Tower

Lovers of modern architecture can rejoice. The NBC tower is known to be an astonishing example of postmodern architecture influenced by Art Deco architecture in its design. Visitors can take photos of the building and enjoy a nice meal in the tower’s City Front Café. The architecture behind the design are none other than Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, Chicago’s prestigious architecture firm.
